The color blue is idealistic, enhancing self-expression and one’s ability to communicate his or her needs and wants. Blue symbolizes one-on-one communication. Blue is one of trust, honesty, and loyalty. However, cobalt, both a pigment of blue and an element (with an atomical number of 27), defies this norm. Cobalt is brighter, more persistent. When reacted with various elements, its physical and chemical characteristics drastically alter.

Beginnings.

When we started thinking about the possibility of collaborating to create an independent magazine, the publication seemed like an expressive outlet for our artistic imagination. The idea behind Cobalt27 is to evoke specific emotions throughout each section, by mimicking compounds that involve cobalt. We want our readers to experience nostalgia, happiness, romance, wistfulness, and relaxation within the pages of our first publication.
