My personal project. Vanishing Greece.
Photos of empty, deserted homes and buildings,without any text, where you feel the nostalgia, memories, and often sadness.
And of people who still work or relax with traditional, old ways and customs, such as the village baker.
The new style habitat for the modern Greeks is a love affair with concrete - Apartments and detached homes, unless you are rich and lucky enough to find Craftsmen to renovate a property.
And, as younger members of the family leave to seek a future elsewhere, in the major cities, or abroad, their rooms are often kept like a museum by the parents, waiting for their return. Deserted rooms in derelict places now have new occupants - Immigrants from Bulgaria, Albania and Syria.
Full families trying to survive.
