About the Book
Old trucks have tremendous popular appeal in our culture. These respected elders of the automotive clan hark back to a simpler era. Now they’ve become fashionable and iconic, representing artistic expression as well as admirable aspects of our history. This book is a tribute to old pickups and the truck love phenomenon—an ode to the rusty, dusty, and crusty. These quaint old-timers have captured my eye as a photographer for many years, especially those found in unusual settings and picturesque resting places in various landscapes. In addition to my collection of photographs, this book presents a brief essay on the allure of old trucks, plus personal anecdotes and musings about the old trucks I’ve known and loved.
