About the Book
Twenty years ago, aged forty-four, Andrew Forrest stepped onto a surfboard
and his life radically changed.
Eight years later he left London and moved to St Agnes,
Cornwall to be closer to the Atlantic swells.
Surfing was his entry card into a tightly-knit community.
It was twelve years before he felt confident enough to start taking
photographs of his home break, Trevaunance Cove, and the
locals.
The Cove is the hub of the village: throughout summer there are
fishermen launching at dawn, surf life-saving schools, tourists,
Hawaiian-style sea burials, weddings, dolphins.
Spring and autumn belongs to the surfers.
Winter, storms rule
