My scant knowledge of Iceland prior to my 'Mum's Gone to Iceland' trip consists of an eclectic mix of Bjork, volcanoes, geothermal activity, the northern lights, waterfalls, whales, an extremely cool government who actually put errant bankers in jail after the world economy went tits up and a country that consistently tops nearly every poll of 'The top 10 friendliest countries in the world'!

I'm hoping to expand a little on this knowledge on my two-week trip to Iceland.
