About the Book
A book of photographs playfully showing the difference (a personal opinion) between Whitstable and Folkestone, both seaside towns in Kent. I have portrayed Whitstable as urban, crowded and corporate. Folkestone is shown as alternative, surreal, 'the other'. Hence the title. The photographs in the book were produced for an exhibition in Whitstable in late 2015.

Since graduating with a Fine Art degree in painting I have practised as an artist continuously. The work has changed throughout my career. For the past eight years I have been working mainly with film and collage. I make books in order to keep a record of what I've been doing, and for myself and others to see more easily my progress.
