Beasts Among Us will question our thinking of hierarchy and how we depend on nature. It will provide a discussion on how wild, caged and domestic animals are depicted, our relationship, attitudes and values towards these animals. What are the grey areas, those that are hidden from society, culture to nature; where are we now and how this relationship has changed. We will question how important these animals are to the environment and to industrial pursuits. Are domesticated animals different and if so why?

Throughout the book it will examine the different lines between animals and humans from an ethical, personal and political awareness and the implication of these boundaries. Asking us to question and discuss animal place in society.
