    About the Book

    Edit

This book was created in our Collage class, at our home art studio, in Watertown, MA, in the summer of 2015. “11 Haiku” is a short book with eleven collages and poems. It is filled with bright and colorful collages. The story and all the art it contains were created and designed by children!

With a nod to Eric Carle, we hand-painted our own papers and shaped them into collages using a special puzzle-piece-style process. Using hand-painted paper, each kid artist made all her own characters, objects, and scenes and helped generate ideas for everything.

    This story was created by
Sarah Brody, Anika Gupta, Anya Gupta, Catherine Hynes, Elsbeth Kasparian, Hazel Koschwanez, Carly Merrow, Natalie Merrow, Sophia Merrow, and Renée Rizvi, with Guidance and Assistance by Todd Bartel and Talin Megherian
