    About the Book

    Edit

The work in this book, was made in a small Portuguese village called Ansiães (outside the town of Amarante) and depicts a local tradition of killing the pig, during the winter, in order to obtain meat for the entire year.
The pig is raised in the open, and treated with all the attention and dedication by getting better food and living conditions during their life.
Pig will leave a large variety of meat and sausages, and all parts of the pig are used for many different purposes.

To kill the pig, family and friends gather to this special day, a day of celebration in the village.
