For as long as I can remember, I've had a healthy compulsion to visit Antarctica. Perhaps it was a familiar neighbour to my native homeland... Australia, or the adventure of getting there. Either way, with each passing year my fascination and impatience grew. After a false start in 2012, my luck changed for the better and 2013 was locked in.
