This book is a collection of photographs students in the Sura Arts Academy created this year. The Sura Arts Academy is a ten week after school program at Munger Elementary School in Detroit, Michigan. Each student was provided with a digital camera to document their lives and surroundings. Every week students would discuss and critique their photographs learning the technical side of photography while exploring their identity, community and culture.
