The photographic paradigm presents the viewer with a snapshot, a brief encounter that is but fragments of a whole. It facilitates a claim of knowing. A memory is spawned, but one of our making. While imagery may evidence existence, it cannot authenticate beyond the frame.

Inspired by loss and absence, this work attempts to redress the absent, driven by the desire to preserve life in the quietus of death.
