About the Book
Erez Ben-Or is an Israeli/Australian artist who has been living and working in Sydney, Australia since 1998. In 2007 he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art (First Class Honours) in photography from the National Art School, Sydney.
Ben-Or’s art practice is shaped by a continuing exploration of masculinity and the psychological state it inhabits within space and time. Through the depiction of the figure within urban structures and environments Ben-Or not only questions the masculine identity but the psyche of all humankind. In Ben-Or’s photography time and light play an important role in evoking a mood or an emotional response to the subject matter.
