About the Book
The photographs in this book display the tragedies of a place that once held warmth and security. Seeing a crumbling building allows me to see what the past may have been like. Or it might show that the house is still occupied even in poor conditions. Today buildings are simple and plain but old apartments and houses tend to be very colorful. To experience the color of the old homes creates joy in me and then to see the burnt siding takes my breath away because I think “Why would time ruin the house?” But then I remember time alone did not ruin the beautiful house, the human touch did as well.
