For one glorious week (June 29-July 6, 2008) the Vermillion family gathered near the town of Lakeside on Flathead Lake to celebrate Lady Margaret's 70th birthday. With five separate cabins on a sprawling lawn with private beach, a sailboat and lot of fireworks, we celebrated our family--an ever-growing group. Jeff & Catherine came from the north; Mom, Dad, Dan, Lynn, Pat, Jen, Gina & Lucy came from the south (with a short stay in Blackfeet tipis). It was probably the first time we have ever all gathered where fishing was not the primary focus. Instead, it was children and the wonderful continuity of generations onded together by love and by blood. Thanks for putting the week together and, of course, thanks for being such a wonderful mother. We hope this book will bring back wonderful memories for you.
