In his second collection, John Newsom has partnered with photographer Randy Kiser to pair lyrical landscapes with visual counterpoints. The scenes range from the eclectic Caribbean island of St. John, to the curling breakers of Mazatlan, Mexico, to the rainswept Northwest of the Puget Sound area. The poems and photos reflect a variety of geographies and themes: surf and sun; contrasts between tropic and temperate; and meditations inspired by moonlight and wilderness.
