“ARTISTS AT HOME”

Its a fly on the wall based project.

Sonny, who is well known for photographing many famous people with the likes of The Rolling Stones and Dave Grohl, came up with the idea after he started taking pictures off the cuff and unfiltered. Using connections in the industry and a lot of perseverance, Sonny has managed to spend time with 7 influential artists in their personal work space, capturing their essence as they create their own works of art.

His aim was to photograph seven artists in their natural space and environment, this project has taken a year to complete and offers the public a rare glimpse into the world of some of the most famous artist of our time.

Each of the artists he has chosen to photograph have been handpicked for their unique backgrounds, as well as their outstanding work. Whether it be his own grandmothers watercolours, a natural portrait gallery artist, or a rolling stone.

A major factor in this project is that he has been fortunate to know each artist personally, the connection between himself and the artist resonates through the resulting images, giving an insight to the world behind the studio door.
