About the Book
Slow Time documents the beauty of the Greek island of Hydra, jewel of the Saronic Gulf, after the tourists have gone. Hydra was made famous in the 1960s by artists and writers, none more so than singer/songwriter/poet, Leonard Cohen, who still owns a house there today. It is an island of hardworking, generous people - and a big population of donkeys and cats. Peter and Heather Smith spent three months on Hydra in autumn and early winter 2014. They capture Hydra slow time - the best time locals say - in photographs, words, oil paintings and pastels.
