I have visited 5Pointz too many times to count over the years. I was simply fascinated by what could have been called the last standing ode to the graffiti artist. Here was a most unique place where artists were allowed to grace the walls of this property with art so urgent, so real, so alive that to display it in a gallery would seem too restricting. A seemingly fading art-form, but like all art graffiti was a necessary expression of a part of our culture. This place no longer exists, replaced now by luxury residences, but these images I share here are just a small smidgen of the many that I have captured over the years. Hope you enjoy.

5 Pointz: The Institute of Higher Burnin'[1] or 5Pointz Aerosol Art Center, Inc., mainly referred to as simply 5 Pointz or 5Pointz, was an American mural space at 45–46 Davis Street in Long Island City, Queens, New York City, whose murals were exhibited mainly on the exterior walls of the building, drawn by artists from the world over.
