A Cry for Cuba: End the Embargo is a collection of vignettes, in blank verse, encouraging the end of the economic embargo imposed by the USA on the Cuban people. This crushing policy has served to support communism by allowing the Cuban government an excuse for the harsh living conditions of most of its people. At the same time, the blockade is a human rights violation against both nations in that it inhibits "the right to development and self-determination," for the people of both nations. We are on the cusp of establishing diplomatic relations. Let us lift the embargo and allow history to take its own course in Cuba.
