The photos in this book were taken in November 2008 while touring in Myanmar, Laos and Northern Thailand. We saw beautiful scenery and temples, and met many wonderful people in the towns and villages, which combined to make an unforgettable trip.



Many of the people in these countries are still living traditional lives. Change will come quickly when new roads are put in, just as we have seen the developments in Laos since our visit six years ago. I feel so privileged to have seen these countries on the cusp of modernisation that I decided to put this book together.
