This book is a photographic portrait of the ESO Paranal Observatory in the Chilean Atacama Desert. For more than 17 years the author has photographed the site, the telescopes, people at work, technical maintenance activities, exceptional weather conditions, night photos, aerial views, etc. It also includes a chapter showing the construction phase of the Observatory.
