Magic City Magic is the family history of Susan Parker and Charles Arcara of Birmingham, Alabama. The book tells in chapter style the story of Susan and Charlie, their parents, grandparents, and each great-grandparent. The Parker-Arcara genealogy is such a real American story; across the centuries, their ancestors included those who were here for the birth of our nation, those from all walks of life, and a huge part that traces back to a tiny town in Sicily, Montemaggiore Belsito. All of this came together in Birmingham, Alabama, famously nicknamed the Magic City. And that is what we had: Magic City Magic.
