I am Canadian but spent almost 50 years based in New York City. I taught photography and video, and founded Professional Women Photographers pwponline in 1975. I have traveled to more than 80 countries as a photographer. I am the author/editor of WOMEN PHOTOGRAPH MEN (Morrow publishers 1977) and the publisher of the FESTIVAL INDONESIA CALENDAR 1991. I have had numerous exhibitions and my work is in museum, corporate and private collections. My youtube channel is : youtube/dhayesfoto. In 2010, I had a stroke paralyzing my left side. My book, TRAVELING LIGHT: photographic Memories of a Global Nomad was typed with only my right hand. I now reside in Vancouver, Canada but still take photos and write.
