This work was conceived by the author after the death of his beloved wife, Elizabeth Marine Foley Hayes as a tribute to her. Perhaps those who read this in the future will have a better understanding of who we were and of how different, yet how much the same, life and love was from the mid-1930's until Elizabeth Marine's passing in 2012.
