The Planets
It started OUT with curiosity, of course. 
In 2008, when I was WORKING ON A PHOTOGRAPHIC PROJECT on the golf course in Riviera de São Lourenço,
I wanted to enjoy my new 8mm lens taking some panoramic photographs. WHILE Searching FOR software that WAS capable of aligning separate photos, I discovered a fantastic program that, besides conventional panoramic alignments, offered several other ways to mount and align THREE or FOUR images together. Weird names like Vedutism, Mercator and transverse Equirectangular became part of my vocabulary, until I FOUND the stereographic format. 
HENCE, this is a photographic ESSAY with images in 360 degrees THAT were converted into stereographic form, which turns a plan into a sphere.
BESIDES EXPLAINING scientifically what you're seeing here, I WOULD LIKE TO ADD that my initial excitement turned into more curiosity and admiration for THE unforeseen ways MADE POSSIBLE BY THIS technique. Each image can provide a dual perception: Firstly, if viewed from afar, the image reveals organic and irregular shapes or perfectly circular forms contingent on the characteristics of each horizon photographed. a second look more closely, these images reveal curious details of where, how, when and even why they were made. 
These images can be rotated clockwise, upside down or even seen through a mirror producing different results, further increasing the possibilities of discovering this book.
