A Brazilian truck driver and his niece wind their way through back roads from São Paulo to Salvador during a four day journey in a double-trailer rig. Slow Ride is an experimental travel novel created through mixing audio transcriptions of a real truck ride with fictional and expository passages. Inspired by Sam Miller’s "Delhi: Adventures in a Megacity", it finds the humor in mundane events and offers a window into the Brazilian working class.
