Sakura means cherry blossom in Japan. There is a brief period in early spring when sakura bloom and parties to view and enjoy the displays are held beneath the trees. The photographs in this book were taken during the sakura season in Tokyo, Kyoto and the mountainous and coastal regions of Wakayama Prefecture and the Kii Peninsula.
