Color & Line is the art of abstract photographer Christo Brock, an emerging artist who blurs the lines between photography and traditional, painter-driven art. Reduced to the elements of visual language - color, shape, & line - Brock pushes the perceptions of photography to create a new category of imagery.

In the course of making films – mostly documentary – Christo increasingly turned to photography as a counterbalance to the collaborative nature of film. Perhaps not co-incidentally, Christo’s work focuses more on non-figurative abstract works. His work has made the journey from print to canvas to metal, now his primary medium.

Many of his images focus on the intersection of man and nature, and how the two worlds collide and interact with the other. Whether it’s a reflection of a building or a painted tree root, his images constantly remind the viewer of that interplay.
