Ashley Wu is an artist who works with themes surrounding community activism, racial identity and social justice. Wu believes that art and engagement has the power and potential to influence social change, she aims to makes work that questions existing constructs of art-making. In challenging them, Wu outputs a refreshing framework for her audience to question their personal perceptions of race and poverty in relation to social inequality. She currently works and resides in New York City. Wu received her BFA from Parsons the New School for Design in 2014.
