About the Book
Happy to help is a project that primarily revolves around a single Asda store at Castlepoint in Bournemouth. As personally being a Asda colleague and photography student I wanted to document this large company through the medium of photography for a while. The part I have always found most intriguing is how the store is endless, there is activity 24 hours a day, whether it be customers or just workers the store is always running like a machine. With my photography I intended to give the workers that keep the store running, an identity to remind the public lots of work happens all the time! Just to make sure you can have your groceries, as I feel this is often overlooked.
I also wanted to hint at our current society, there are fleets of people who work night shifts and constant demand for goods no matter the hour of the day, and makes me wonder if one day we will become a society where there is no definitive day and night.
