Hi there my name is Caroline Sharkey I am a Textile Artist and Tutor from Australia. I have been traveling to Uluru in Australia's Red Centre for 13 years as Art/Craftsperson in Residence with Ayers Rock Resort...This is a glimpse of the Artwork I have been inspired to make over those years.
Embellishing the Surface is my way of creating textures that are interesting and change the way You as the viewer look at fabric.
Stitching into the surface gives me a changing palette and adding colours brings the artwork to life
I travel to teach my techniques of fabric embellishments and textured surface workshops and love this journey that I am on to inspire and encourage everyone to experience the creative side of Textile Art.
