Down-n-Around the Pond teaches children how to connect with the music within them and with others

Mari E. Howerton, CCMSHP, has a BA in Elementary Education and has worked in early childhood development for 30 years. Mari is a certified Cross Cultural Music and Sound for Health Practitioner from the Open Ear Center. She has served as Director of an Early Childhood Center, developed kindergarten curriculum and worked with special needs children. While in the Peace Corps, Mari trained pre-school teachers in Belize. Mari is now combining the healing power of music and sound and her love of all children, young and old, through UVI's work.
