Nature is the great artist. Nowhere is this more evident than in the Arctic where patterns and colours rival the imaginative efforts of the greatest artists in both their boldness and subtlety. In "Arctic Mosaics" known worlds disappear and others are created by the "mosaics", playing tricks with our perception of reality and challenging our imagination. Other-worldly landscapes and mythical creatures appear to evolve from from well-known inanimate objects such as rocks and ice; it is the magic and mystery of nature.
