This story is about a little girl named Mayce. She calls Sydney her home and lives with her family. With a generous nature, she is a very happy girl both polite and beautiful, and that is why she is loved by all those around her. The closest person in her life is her mother and they spend lots of fun times together with lots of laughter. She also tries to help around the home and in the garden, making it a pleasure to live with her.

She was the only child in her family, until she had a new baby brother. At the beginning, she was delighted at the idea of having a brother just like many of her friends, so she could play and enjoy the time with him.

But when the new baby arrived, things have been changed especially with her Mum. After couple of incidents she feels that her mother doesn’t love her any more like she used to. Mayce begins to believe her little brother took her place and she feels sad and distant from her family.
