This is an on going project following the local football team Mond F.C, competing in the South Wales, Neath Leagues. After working with the club for some time the focus became more about the people who played for the team and come together every Saturday to play football. The photographs in the book show the interactions between teammates in matches, training and all other aspects of life within the club.
This is Mond Football Club’s 1st season under their new name, the club was formally known as Inco F.C and began in the early 1900’s as the work’s football team of the Inco Steelworks, situated in Clydach, Swansea. With players now coming from all areas and walks of life, most ties to the steelworks have been lost apart from the Mond clubhouse, which lends its name to the team.
