Estelle is the daughter of Louis and Enid. She grew up in South Africa. She and her husband Gerhard, immigrated to Canada in 1987, where they raised four children. She works as a physical therapist in Edmonton. She is passionate about bridging the gap between different cultural and socio-economic groups. Estelle serves on the board of directors of the CHILD Foundation which reaches out to impoverished communities internationally. Proceeds of the book will finance education for Zulu children through the Ukulapha project in Kwazulu- Natal, South Africa.
