    About the Book

    Edit

This book showcases a trip I took to Peru in 2005 with Phil Borges and Bridges to Understanding. Under the mellow guidance of Phil, we journeyed to the land of the Living Inca to the town of Ollantaytambo, nestled in the Andes between Cusco and Machu Picchu. There we worked with high school students to create photographic and video stories of the people and their way of life. It was a uniquely touching experience to have these students and their families welcome us into their lives. Sadly, the native people are slowly losing their traditions as modern internet cafes, television, and electronic gadgets infiltrate their lives. I hope the soul of this land will be preserved even so.
