Based on the real experiences of two young girls growing up in Outback Queensland, this book was the unanimous choice of the judges of the Queensland State Library's Children's Writing Project held in conjunction with the opening of the new State Library. It includes a recipe for looking after orphaned newly born lambs and depicts parts of every day life for country children.
