About the Creator
Photography has been a part of my life since I was a child but was only a hobby for most of my life. In the last ten years, after a tragic loss, I returned to photography to heal. As a viewer, we are an outsider to the physical appearance of objects. We see objects, we build relationships among the objects, and we may form an opinion of what we see. But how often do we feel what we see. My work involves me to visually give the landscape photographed a life of its own with the camera as my mediator. Through my work, the relationship between form and identity is lost while the viewer is building new relationships between form and energy. As a correlation to abstract painters, Mondrian's Tree series evolves from a realist tree to referential, and then to pure form. With my work, a new relationship between the photograph and the viewer may emerge as the viewer begins to let go of object identity and build their own relationships with forms and spatial relationships that I photograph.
