Margo Taussig Pinkerton, a.k.a. The Barefoot Contessa, got her first camera, a Brownie Hawkeye, at age eight and has been photographing with a passion ever since. Turning pro in the early 80s, she worked for top magazines and Fortune 500 companies worldwide. During that time, she started Barefoot Contessa Adventures, leading wilderness adventure and showing her clients how to make more effective photographs of their once-in-a-lifetime trips. In the 90s, she joined her business with fellow pro and now-husband, Arnold "Arnie" Zann, working together in the corporate world. The adventure company morphed into its current iteration of Barefoot Contessa Photo Adventures in which, Margo and Arnie seek to impart their enthusiasm and passion for photography to their participants and to send their students home with the tools necessary to continue to grow as photographers. "Seek your own vision, and create great photos!" is the tag line for their fun, intensive photo workshops here & abroad.
