About the Book
This book is a trip Paul and I took to visit his family in October 2008. It was the first time that Paul and I had been back to see his family since his father passed away back in January. We experienced wonderful weather and managed to be there while the trees were in the midst of displaying their brilliant colors.

I was born and raised in Fullerton, California. I'm left-handed, an only child, and I've been a passionate movie-lover since I was a kid. I moved to San Francisco in 1991, where I finished my B.A. and M.A. degrees in film studies at SFSU. I moved to L.A. in 1997 for a doctoral program at USC -- which I left in 1999 to pursue a full-time position at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, where I am the Photograph Curator. My husband Paul and I live in Silverlake with our cat Hazel.
