Four Spoons is a collection of recipes from the four different cultures that make up our family: Italian, Mennonite, Mexican and now Chinese. Early in 2014 we will welcome into our home Yiyi, a 10-year-old girl from China. We have made Four Spoons to share our love, to celebrate our daughter's heritage, and to help defray in part the significant cost of international adoption. Little Yiyi doesn't know it yet, but she is the inspiration and the motivation behind this cookbook.
