    About the Book

    Edit

The grammar of images has never tried to follow the rules of words. Here jumps prevail and the eyes perceive surprises. Abrupt movements and few conjunctions. This work of two, the authors are Daniella Benedetti and Ivan Olita, is the full sum of the imposition of sense over perception.

A sequence, only apparently disorganized, draws a geographic reality capable of holding and supporting determination and emotion. The report was recently made in Colombia, in the time frame of a month. A geographical-social journey between the two Atlantic fronts to gather the pieces of the “collateral damage” generated from a political and cultural condition incapable of looking to the future.

Here everything is declined in a present form. The images seem like strolls on a heart. And life continues to flow, without a center though. Dignity seems saved. And our authors are good in reminding us of this.

In the end, even horizons seem small and the sky appears only once. Elegant and refined, as the background to a natural movement that looks like the need of freedom and the knowledge in every eye photographed in this story.
