    About the Book

    Edit

"An essay concerning human understanding" is an artist book done by artist Maria Lusitano. This book resulted from a daily practice of drawing and making collages over the pages of an old edition of John Locke´s book "An essay concerning human understanding", that was written in 1689. Maria Lusitano revisited Locke´s foundational philosophical text, proposing its reading as a fragmented, poetical visual essay.
