Tomek Tomkowiak has a degree in philosophy and a penchant for travel but his greatest passion is photography. He specialises in glamour, fashion and nude photography, but he realizes his full potential in original advertising campaigns in black and white. His work was published in various fashion and travel magazines and also in international editions of Playboy, including those in Poland, Germany and Russia. He achieved success at international competitions winning awards at PX3 (Prix de la Photographie Paris) and IPA (International Photo Awards). His photographic journeys lead him most often to Africa. He keeps returning to Zanzibar which has become his second home. In 2010 he published first in Poland album about Zanzibar.
