Earlier in the year, I set myself a challenge: see how much of Paris I could visit in just one day. And the answer is, with a bit of careful itinerary planning, I could actually visit (and photograph!) quite a lot … and everything I did was free.



Taking an early Eurostar from London and arriving in Paris around 9.30am on Friday 23rd August 2013, this book is a photographic record of the tour I made. Between different parts of the city, I made use of the Paris Metro system using the “Visite” one day travel card. But otherwise, I did a lot of walking. The book is laid out in the order in which I visited each area. The red line on each section map indicates the route I walked in that part of the city.



I still got back to the Gare Du Nord with plenty of time to take a 3-course meal at a nearby Brasserie before heading back to London around 9.15pm.
