Ashton Jordan is a 21 year old spoken word poet from Des Moines Iowa. She currently works a retail day job as an assistant manager but hopes to support herself, at least in part, with her writing. She has been writing poetry for nearly three years, performing her work almost monthly at local poetry slams and open mics. Though her poetry is still developing, she has a clear style that she has become known for in her community. Her first collection "Paperback" is an example of how her poetry has developed over her first three years of extensively exploring and writing in this genre.
