About the Book
" A Chair In Prague" is a book of photographs of chairs found in various locations scouted for a film shoot. Each chair has been photographed in exactly the position in which it was found. What is striking about these shots is that with each chair there is a powerful sense of story hovering. Each one of them seems to have been moved or positioned with deliberation and purpose: by an open window, guarding an industrial staircase, around a table waiting to be set. One gets the sense that had the photographer arrived a moment earlier she may have seen the man sitting by the window, gazing out at the trees beyond as he quietly ate his lunch, or a guard waiting patiently to see who might come down the industrial staircase, or a woman laying the table for her family dinner.
"A Chair In Prague" triggers one's imagination to construct a story about each chair.
