The United Eight is an eight-person cycling team that competed in the world’s toughest bike race in June 2008. The Race Across America is a 3,000-mile non-stop journey from California to Atlantic City. The race crossed 15 state borders, and climbed an approximate total of 108,000 feet (four times the altitude of Everest).
